Public communication project to enhance the social value of Kimchi culture and to elevate the opportunity

for the next generation to inherit Kimchi culture

1. Key contents: Participate in establishment of an online Kimchi culture archive by providing Kimchi-

    related artifacts that individuals have for digital processing

2. Operating period: 2022. 9. 14. (Wed.) ~ 2023. 9. 13. (Wed.)

3. Participants: No restriction
    * Any Koreans or foreigners residing in South Korea can participate individually or as a group

4. Subject materials: All Kimchi-related personal collection items
    * Example of collections: Kimchi-related everyday items, artifacts, photos, images, letters, books, cooking recipes, news articles,

       competition award certificates, Kimchi product packaging materials, advertisements, menus, video tapes (VTR/VHS), etc.

5. Participation method: Submit application for participation in provision of personal collection items,

    which will be returned after establishing a database

   * Procedure to be followed
    i. Receive application for personal collection item
    ii. Deliberation on conversion into resources 
   iii. Database (DB) establishment through Digital processing
   iv. Return submitted materials * Separate consent if the actual item is to be used
    v. Publicly open online Kimchi culture archive

6. Respectful treatment for participation: Certificate of participation issued, publication of materials collected, souvenir presented, invitation to exhibition event and to

    world Kimchi research institute events
