Declaration of Fairness
The “World Institute of Kimchi” hereby declares that in carrying out all biobank activities conducted by the institute,
all individuals involved (both internal and external) understand the importance of fairness, commit to managing conflicts of interest,
and strive to enhance trust. We pledge to safeguard objectivity and independence in our work, and therefore declare the following:
- Article 1All activities shall be conducted fairly, and the Director of the Institute shall ensure fairness.
- Article 2All personnel, including the Director, bear responsibility for the fairness of their activities and shall not allow any commercial, financial, or other pressures that may compromise fairness.
- Article 3The Director shall continuously identify risks arising from any threats to fairness in activities and shall minimize or eliminate identified risks.
- Article 4No pressure from regulatory agencies and/or stakeholders shall be permitted.
- Article 5All personnel, including the Director, are prohibited from engaging in any external activities that may compromise fairness.
- Article 6Organizational relationships that may cause disadvantages in personnel, administration, or budget allocation shall be identified, and any factors threatening fairness shall be eliminated.
