On Nov 16, the World Institute of Kimchi released ¡¸Kimchi attracts the world's attention¡¹, the last video of "Kimchi Universe," the documentary co-organized with Daesang Co., Ltd. JONGGA to promote the history, culture, and global status of kimchi on its official YouTube channel.

'Kimchi Universe', a project to promote the independent evolution and cultural uniqueness of kimchi, a traditional vegetable fermented food at home and abroad, consists of a total of three parts such as ¡®history (the first part)¡¯, ¡®Culture (the second part)¡¯, ¡®Globalization (the third part)¡¯.

The 'History' part ¡¸the beginning of evolution¡¹, which was released last April, and the 'Culture' part ¡¸Korean icon kimchi¡¹, which was released in Aug and followed by the 'globalization' part ¡¸Kimchi attracts the world's attention¡¹, which decorates the culmination of this project, that introduces the global status of kimchi, which is rapidly emerging as an icon of health after Covid-19 and attracting attention from people around the world.
This documentary video explores the story of how kimchi became known all over the world through the 1986 Asian Games and the 1988 Seoul Olympics. In line with Kimchi Day, a legal anniversary in Korea, the state of California in the United States has also designated Nov 22 as Kimchi Day every year, to the latest news, included various global cases

In particular, this video is attracting attention by presenting kimchi dishes enjoyed in various countries around the world, including ¡®Kimchi Quesadia¡¯, which was introduced as a dish which soothes soul in Mexico, and ¡®Kimchi Ice Cream¡¯, which was introduced at the North American summit in Singapore. The World Institute of Kimchi, a government-funded research institute that comprehensively researches kimchi, was in charge of ascertaining professional data from a historical and cultural perspective, and raised degree of completion of content delivery through promotional and marketing advice by Professor Kyung-deok Seo of Sungshin Women's University.

In addition, the narration of this video was composed in a way that 'Monsta X', which became a hot topic after being invited for the first time by a K-pop group to the 'Jingle Ball' tour, the largest year-end show in the United States, took charge and freely talked about kimchi. Monsta X is continuously participating in various projects to promote Korean culture abroad, such as the ¡®Cultural Heritage Visit Campaign¡¯ and ¡®K-Community Challenge¡¯, etc.
